Julia Kaufmann

Founder / Owner

Born and raised in Zug, I developed a strong foundation in Swiss values, professionalism, and international business culture.

My professional career began in the aviation industry at Swissair, where I worked for 20 years and gained valuable international experience.

In the relocation sector, I accompany and support people as they start afresh—from planning to successful integration in their new place of residence and work. I am the owner of Crane Relocation GmbH.

In my private life, traveling is my great passion. In my free time, I enjoy diving, hiking, skiing, and cross-country skiing, and I love being active in the fresh air.

Angelika Steigmeier

Partner Relocation

I grew up in Germany, where I studied at the University of Education after leaving school. I then attended business school in Munich before moving to Lausanne to improve my French, a language I think is great alongside English.

After getting married, I moved to Lake Zurich, where I raised three children while working part time. Since 2009, I have worked as a relocation consultant for various companies. In my free time, I enjoy walking our dog, skiing, cycling and reading.

Bettina Sturzenegger

Zürich is my hometown, I grew up here, completed my education and and went on to work for many years as a public relations consultant at a renowned Swiss PR agency.
Following extended stays abroad in Italy and England, I spent 20 formative years in Miami USA. During this time, I enjoyed a truly wonderful chapter of my life—starting a family and gaining invaluable intercultural experience.
My international outlook, combined with my in-depth understanding of the Swiss cultur and canton of Zurich, inspired me to found my own relocation company upon returning to Switzerland in 2016.
I am very much a people person and value dynamic exchange as well as personal, trust-based relationships. It gives me great pleasure to support my clients comprehensively as they begin a new chapter in our country and to help them find a home that truly suits their needs.
In my free time, I enjoy horseback riding, skiing, snowboarding and traveling. I have a great passion for theatre, concerts, and the arts.

Barbara Krähenmann

Partner Relocation

I grew up on Lake Zurich and worked as a flight attendant for Swissair and in marketing. In 2000, I made the move into the real estate industry at Tamedia, where I set up the online marketplace Immowinner.

Since 2006, I have been renting and selling condominiums and single-family homes and searching for residential properties for my clients. Since 2013, I have been teaching marketing and real estate management part-time. My dog Mogli acts as my personal trainer, ensuring that I take regular breaks and get plenty of fresh air.

When moving to Switzerland in 2023, I would probably have been in trouble if it wasn’t for Frau Kaufmann, our relocation consultant. She helped with finding a property, going to viewings on our behalf prior to our arrival, our liaison between agencies and ourselves, and a whole host of other items.These items included: getting registered at the commune, setting up a bank account, setting up with a Swiss phone number, and the small details that may not be included in the relocation package, but the genuine want to help us (which was the best train subscription/best provider/best way to get furniture, etc). However, when all of this was sorted, she did not stop helping us. Fast forward two years, when we have to leave CH, and she advised us how best to pass on our lease, and again, was still the point of contact in order to get our deposit back. Without her and her company’s help, so many items would have fallen through the cracks. If you are an individual, or a business, this should be the first and only place you should seek in order to start your life in Switzerland on the right note.

On our first day, everything was set up: internet, bank accounts, and appointments for our driver's licenses and fingerprints were all arranged. Julia was always responsive to our questions, no matter how basic, and she consistently held herself accountable for her clients' needs, often going above and beyond her role. For instance, when our furniture was delivered ahead of schedule while we were still out of town, Julia took it upon herself to check the delivery and even placed name tags on our mailbox to prevent any future issues.
